The Carroll girls basketball team fell to No. 6 Hamilton Southeastern 51-47 in overtime Friday, moving to 2-1 on the season.

Emily Parrett, Taylor Fordyce and Nevaeh Jackson each scored a team-high 10 points for the Chargers. Also contributing to the scoring were Saniyah Jackson (six points), Lexi Castator (five points), Delane Sheets (three points) and Kayla Gibbs (three points).

The Chargers defeated Huntington North 66-46 on Tuesday. Parrett led all scorers with 17 points. Nevaeh Jackson scored 13, and Fordyce also scored in double digits with 11 including a pair of threes. Nevaeh Jackson was 6-for-6 from the free throw line, leading the Chargers in a perfect 10-of-10 performance. Saniyah Jackson led the team in rebounds (eight) and assists (five).

Carroll was scheduled to face East Noble (2-2) on Monday. The team returns to action again Saturday in a doubleheader at home against No. 1 Penn.
