Free concerts at Aboite Township park

The audience is asked to bring lawn chairs and hand sanitizer and enjoy another summer of free concerts at Indian Trails Park in Aboite Township.

The 2020 summer concert series has begun at Indian Trails Park in southwest Fort Wayne.

The free concerts are sponsored by the Aboite Township Trustee’s Office. Bands play from 7-9 p.m. each Wednesday from the band shell of the township-owned park surrounding Jorgensen Family YMCA at 10313 Aboite Center Road.

The series began July 1 with Blue Pluto.

The Aboite Township Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand selling hot dogs, drinks and snacks. Fire trucks will be on display for the public. Children are welcome to attend.

The township’s website lists these concert dates:

July 8 — Joe Justice

July 15 — The Junk Yard Bank

July 22 — Pop ‘n Fresh

July 29 — Not My Kids

Aug. 5 — The Bulldogs

Aug. 12 — Biff and the Cruisers

Aug. 19 — Party Boat Band

Aug. 26 — The Shannon Persinger Band
