Congregation Achduth Vesholom will offer its popular corned beef fundraiser again this year, but has decided not to offer dine-in service. The 19th such event will offer drive-up service only.

The fundraiser, which the congregation promotes as “Corned Beef on Rye — Sure to Satisfy,” will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Temple, 5200 Old Mill Road, Fort Wayne.

The Jewish deli-style luncheon features a 1/3-pound corned-beef-on-rye sandwich, a giant pickle, creamy cole slaw, a fudge brownie and a drink. Boxed meals are $15 each when ordered by Friday, Oct. 22. After that date and at the drive-thru, the price is $18.

Orders can be placed at Phone orders can be placed at 260-744-4245 (credit card only).

Local delivery service is available for orders of 12 or more lunches for a fee of $15 per address, if placed by Friday, Oct. 22.

The fundraiser has added two bonuses this year:

• Each corned beef meal will include a gift card from Chapman’s Brewing Company. The card can be used online at for $10 off same-day delivery, or it can be presented at any one of their taproom locations for $10 off a purchase. The gift card is available at locations in Fort Wayne and Angola, Columbia City, Huntington and Wabash.

• Each meal will include an individual bag of Clandestine Caramel Original Recipe popcorn donated by Popsalot California Popcorn. Air-popped popcorn is folded into made-from-scratch caramel and finished off with Bourbon vanilla. All products are non-gmo, kosher, whole grain, and gluten-free.

Again this year, whole Hebrew National kosher salamis are available for sale for $12 for a 12-ounce salami.

Proceeds from this fundraiser help support programs at the Temple.
