Nearly 80 Canterbury School students have been recognized as AP (Advanced Placement) Scholars by CollegeBoard, meaning they demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on their AP Exams in 2020. Canterbury students had a passing rate of 91% with an average score of 4.0.

The distinction of National AP Scholar is awarded to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. The distinction of AP Scholar with Distinction is earned by students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
