An improvisational comedy troupe from The Second City in Chicago will perform at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne at Laughs for Literacy, a fundraiser for The Literacy Alliance.

The show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, with general seating 30 minutes prior. Tickets start at $65 and are available at literacyalliance.networkforgood.com. $95 VIP tickets also include a catered reception, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Embassy is at 125 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.

The Literacy Alliance assists adult students in Allen, Adams and Wells counties, home to over 30,000 adults who do not have a high school diploma.

Literacy Alliance has been serving area adults for more than 30 years, putting them on a path of economic self-sufficiency by offering free classes in adult basic education that lead to improved reading, writing and math skills, English language attainment and preparation for the high school equivalency exam.
