The City of New Haven has lifted the boil water advisory for Meadowbrook Shopping Center.

The alert had been issued at 1:43 p.m. Friday. Residents were told water should not be used for food prep or drinking. New Haven Utilities issued the all-clear just before noon Sunday.

The city said the interrupted service was caused by an error by a contractor, performing work that had not been authorized by the city. No residential service was affected by the water main break.
