Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the 2200 block of Fillmore Street on Oct. 12 at approximately 7:21 a.m. in reference to a vehicle crash with injuries. Initial reports indicated that a vehicle had struck a parked trailer.

Upon arrival, officers found a male juvenile and a male adult trapped in the vehicle. Another uninjured male juvenile was in the vehicle at the time of the crash but was out before police arrived.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department worked to free the two remaining occupants. Paramedics then transported the trapped occupants to a local hospital where the driver was found to have life threatening injuries.

Preliminary information indicated the vehicle was traveling northbound on Fillmore and struck a parked trailer on the opposite west side of the street. Investigators reported speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
