The 2nd annual Falling for Art self-guided artists studio tour was held on Oct. 9 and 10 in Allen County.

Joseph and Kathleen Pelka decided to begin the event in 2020 after attending a similar event in Ojai, California called the Ojai Studio Artists Tour.

Those who participated in the event were able to visit 14 studios in the county and chat with local artists about their work and inspirations.

“Studios are a living being, if you will,” Joe said. “There’s always something going on.”

The 2021 event was sponsored by Well Grounded Cafe in Huntertown.

Joseph said he and Kathleen have “big plans” for next year’s tour and believe it could eventually draw crowds from Chicago, Illinois and Indianapolis.

Applications for the 2022 event will be available on Nov. 15 at the Falling for Art website.
